Question about available software - bouldercreek8888 - Oct 11 18:38:00 2002

I am embarking on a project where I want to do phoneme extraction
from digitized voice data. I have been looking at Sphinx2, but the
documentation seems weak and that makes it difficult for me.

What I want to do is process the data and recover the sequence of
phonemes along with their location in the data. I really don't need
to do word or content recognition.

What software packages should I be looking at for a starting point.
(comercial or open source)? Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul, It is not very clear from your mail, what you want to do? Do you want to have
information about the database Sphinx2? Or, you want to have phoneme
transcription of this? In the later case, I would like to remind you that, the
phoneme transcription of databases is generated manually. There is no known way
to find it automatically yet. best, --jitendra
