Hi, It means that FIR filter is designed using truncated sinc function by hamming window. This FIR filter corresponds to a low-pass linear phase filter and is used to interpolate between speech samples (upsample or downsample). For more information you can consult the theory of band-limited interpolation. > > > > dear All, > > I have some difficulties in understanding w

I'm trying to implement WI codec, for now just layer I(without quantisation),as it is described in Eddie Choy's thesis, but I don't get perfectly sounding decoded speech,as they stated, there are audible errors, and these errors usually occur when pitch doubles. Can anybody help me,or send me

Hi everyone, I am currently working on waveform interpolative speech coding. I exploit the usual scheme, but it doesn't provide accurate (perfect) waveform reconstruction even when using no quantization. Does anyone know any papers/info about perfect reconstruction for waveform

I'm now doing a transcoder between G.729 & G.723.1. Considering the conversion of pitch delay, since G.723.1 encodes speech with 30ms frames, while G.729 with 20ms frames, how can i do? I attempt to convert the pitch delay using linear interpolation, but the perform

Hi, I have converted my speech application from melp2400 to melp1200. I was using fir filter to convert 8KHz speech to 32KHz. Should I need to change the filter for melp1200??? I think it should work fine because in fact we are using the melp2400 synthesis function without change. When I run my melp1200 speech application with this fir filter I feel as the voice is being lingered on, gives a fadi...
