Hai, I am a new member of this group.I am a 6th sem MCA student.Now I am trying to implement G729 codec.Till now i didn't get a clearcut idea about 16 bit linear PCM file format.What is samples init? Please give response. Thanks in advance Bineesh Jose
Hi, you can get the input from any voice editor like cool edit. you can record your voice in 16khz mono and save the format as 16-bit pcm (raw file format). This could be your input for coder. Hi,
you can also record your voice using Goldwave software which is a versatile software used
by all development engineers in audio/speech domain.
You can record your voice at a sampling rate of 8000 samples and 16 bit signed bits and
mono.
this is the input to the g729 codec. for further clarifications, please mail me.
