hi, every speech coding experts here. I have worked on variable rates
coding for CDMA system. It's nice to share coding algorithm with all of
you. Any question is welcome.
BTW, who can tell me the speech coding standard for next mobile
communication?

Recently, the ETSI have choosen the speech coder for the adaptive
multirate (AMR) speech coder standard to be used in the 3rd generation
system.
Described in:

"GSM EFR BASED MULTI-RATE CODEC FAMILY", J Vainio, H. Mikkola, K.
Jbvinen, P. Haavisto, ICASSP'98

Cuttently, they started the standardization process for a Wideband
speech coder. I don't know too much about, but give a look in
www.etsi.org
