LSF quantizer - #ARIJIT BISWAS# - Jan 16 7:24:35 2008

Hi all!

Does anyone know what=C2=92s the latest & greatest LSF quantizer available =
for wideband speech coding? :-)
For example, what=C2=92s the minimum number bits/frame required for quantiz=
ing a 16-th order LPC operating at 16-kHz sampling?=20

If anyone is aware of any nice references please let me know.

Best Regards,
Arijit

the split multistage vq (smvq) is probably one of the best methods, it
is implemented in the g.722.2 wideband codec (amr-wb), but carefull
with the patents. you can find all the details in the ITU-T
recommandations.
also a found this paper on the web :
