Technical discussions related to Speech Coding (all itu and other vocoders, ACELP, CELP, AMR, etc)
Hi all! Does anyone know what=C2=92s the latest & greatest LSF quantizer available = for wideband speech coding? :-) For example, what=C2=92s the minimum number bits/frame required for quantiz= ing a 16-th order LPC operating at 16-kHz sampling?=20 If anyone is aware of any nice references please let me know. Best Regards, Arijit =20
the split multistage vq (smvq) is probably one of the best methods, it is implemented in the g.722.2 wideband codec (amr-wb), but carefull with the patents. you can find all the details in the ITU-T recommandations. also a found this paper on the web : http://maxwell.me.gu.edu.au/spl/publications/papers/merc05_so.pdf cheers --- In s...@yahoogroups.com, "#ARIJIT BISWAS#" <arijit17@...> wrote: > > Hi all! >=20 > Does anyone know what=C2's the latest & greatest LSF quantizer available for wideband speech coding? :-) > For example, what=C2's the minimum number bits/frame required for quantizing a 16-th order LPC operating at 16-kHz sampling? >=20 > If anyone is aware of any nice references please let me know. >=20 > Best Regards, > Arijit > =20
