EFR Code Book search - ynitin - Jan 15 6:56:00 2002

Hi,
I am working on porting GSM Enhanced Full Rate (EFR) Speech codec on
a customer DSP. Currently We are working on porting ACELP ( Code Book
Search ) functions. I observed that the code book searh algorithm
implemented in C code is complex and is very difficult to optimize in
assembly because of complex address generation required. Algoithmic
change in ACELP functions will reduce the complex address generation
process and also will reduce the cycle count. If anybody worked on
porting the EFR code on TI or any other DSP, Any inputs on changing
the C algorithm or any pointers for the same.

Regards,
Nitin
