Additional 5 ms look-ahead delay in AMR12.2k - manoj garg - Mar 7 5:54:00 2002

Dear friends,
i am working on EFR compatible AMR. In one of the
documents presented at 3gpp meeting by Ericsson i find
the following statement:
"AMR 12.2 has 5 ms longer delay than GSM EFR which is
caused by the (dummy) look-ahead
of 5 ms (added to allow seamless frame-wise mode
switching with the rest of the
AMR modes)"

I am not finding that how and where this delay is
introduced in AMR 12.2k implementation. i am not also
finding any reference to this look-ahead delay in
standard AMR documents. Could you please help me by
giving me some reference.
Thanks,

yours sincerely,
manoj
