G.729D for VoIP appl. - Andi Mardiansyah - Jun 2 12:29:00 2002

Hi all

The G.723.1 and G.729/A are usually used in VoIP
application, many gateway product use those algrtm.

Anyone know why G.729D is rarely / not used for VoIP?
Is that just because G.723.1 came earlier than G729D
or there are some technical reasons? G.729D has 6,4
kbps bit rate ( lower than G.723) and faster algorithm
delay, why VoIP appl. dont use this?

Thanks

Andhi M
