IS95 represents the CDMA standard (including the speech coding
specifications) and IS96A is the speech coding standard for the
IS95 (known as QCELP).

dual-mode wideband spread spectrum cellular systems, IS-95.

2) IS-96a (QCELP)

coder for cellular networks. In B.S. Atal et al. (Eds.) Speech and Audio
Coding for Wireless and Network Applications, pp. 85-92. For more details search the web site of Qualcomm (www.qualcomm.com)
using the keyword vocoder. Khaled
