ill-conditioning in LPC - #ARIJIT BISWAS# - Nov 20 14:11:00 2003

Dear multiple recipients of the Group "Speech coding":
Presently, I am doing some simulations on LPC-based speech coders. I am facing
the ill-conditioning of the Gram-Matrix. How do I correct it?
I know that I have to add a small amount of value along the diagonal of the
Matrix. But, how much do I add, to correct the problem? Is there any standard
value or does it depends on some parameters?
If you have any information, I will be glad to learn from you!
Regards,

~Arijit
