My client is addressing an ever growing market demand for larger bandwidth. My client is a start up located near San Jose, CA. and is currently seeking a DSP Architect to join their exciting and growing team.
DSP Architect:
Description:
Advanced signal processing algorithms for the physical layer of high speed optical data communication networks. Implementation of DSP algorithms that include: High-Order Modulation Transmitter/Receivers, multi-input adaptive equalizers, digital filters, and interface/integration with analog functions.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop FPGA/ASIC specification, architecture, and micro-architecture of signal processing and communications algorithms
• Development of chip verification strategy based on bit-exact MATLAB system model
• Development/simulation of RTL hardware implementations in verilog
• Lab testing and debug of FPGA/ASICs
Qualifications:
BSEE/MSEE, Minimum of 8 years experience developing, implementing, and testing high performance communications and DSP FPGA/ASIC products.
Experience mapping communications algorithms to hardware and understanding of system design tradeoffs.
Must have chip lead experience and extensive RTL experience including design, verification, and synthesis.
Must have strong UNIX-based EDA tool skills and in-depth knowledge of FPGA/ASIC design flows.
Must be familiar with reusable HDL coding styles.
Experience in MATLAB and/or C/C++ based system simulation and evaluation a plus.
