Description



WCDMA NodeB L1 team works on WCDMA Layer 1 baseband processing and WCDMA Layer 2 HSDPA/HSUPA Schedulers. The team charter is full ownership (Requirements review, design, coding, unit testing, performance tests, related 3GPP conformance tests and Pre-DR5 support) of software components that are delivered from India. The team has full ownership of DSP firmware of one W-CDMA modem card and works in equal partnership mode for current and next generation modem cards in multi-site development environment.

The W-CDMA Layer 2 is C++/C and VxWorks based development and is compliant to 3GPP HSDPA/HSUPA Scheduler specifications.

Job descriptions:

The successful candidate must be able to function both as an independent contributor and as a team member for W-CDMA NodeB L2 feature design/development and for pre-DR5 support.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong understanding of WCDMA L2 layer (MAC-hs, MAC-e) standards
- Good understanding of W-CDMA L1 specifications and it's interaction with L2 layer
- Knowledge of HSDPA/HSUPA schedulers implementations, Iub Frame protocol
- Experience in Target testing and integration on PQ2/PQ3/PPC based applications
- Working knowledge of VxWorks
- Strong C++ & C skills
- Strong trouble shooting & problem solving skills
- Clearcase
- User level unix knowledge

Desirable Skills

- Knowledge of W-CDMA MAC-d, NBAP,
- UCM
- W-CDMA L2 implementation on DSP processor
- Working experience on W-CDMA L1
- Windriver Tornado tool set knowledge for real time and memory optimization
