Job Description:
Responsible for developing new DSP algorithms for recognizers, demodulators, and decoders.
Improving and maintaining existing signals capabilities.
Will work in an integrated team environment with daily customer interaction.
Recognizer and demodulator DSP algorithms would typically include PSK/FSK/MSK demodulation techniques such as preamble recognition, frequency and channel tracking and estimation, and equalization, speech processing techniques such as pitch and format analysis, and other more general techniques such as narrow-band channel extraction, re-sampling, etc.
Responsibilities would also include integrating new components into existing systems and participating in all stages of testing including individual components and end-to-end testing.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in an engineering, or computer engineering discipline with 9 years related experience.
Minimum of 3 years experience in DSP development.
Working knowledge in one of more of the following areas: Communications theory, debug techniques, diagnostic techniques, digital data formats and protocols, digital design techniques, digital signal processor programming, digital signal theory, signals processing (modulation, coding, noise reduction, signal-to-noise ratio), error correcting codes, calculus, differential equations, fourier analysis,
Modulation methods such as ASK, FM, AM, PSK (M-AryPSK), QAM, PRS, etc.
Modulation/demodulation: Theory and techniques, object oriented programming
Candidate will be required to work in the Linux environment, and to develop in C, C++, and JAVA.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills required, as well as the ability to communicate complex issues and ideas to a diverse audience.
Experience with HF collection, processing systems and techniques highly desirable.
This position requires an active clearance.
