I just built my own as well. I have two versions, one is powered externally
and has a pcb mounted switch to supply 3.3V to the OnCE connector so it can
power the target board if required. The other has no external supply and
uses 3.3V from the target board for power. An LM2660 doubles this to 6.6V
and this in turn is regulated at 5V. Both PCB's are single sided with a few
links and work with both 56F800 and 56300 targets. Anyone want the Gerbers,
let me know.

Regards,

Mick

If anyone's interested, I made my own JTAG interface, basically copying what's
on the 807 demo board. If anyone wants details such as schematics or even
Gerbers, they're welcome. This is especially useful for UK folk as New Micros
don't bother to respond to people abroad.

AFAIK, the next cheapest way to do it in the UK is to buy an interface which
is about two hundred quid!

Has anyone successfully used the newmicro 14-pin JTAG -> parallel
wiggler with the Mot Suite56 debugger (ads) ?

I has successfully used the New Micros 14-pin JTAG connector with
several 56300 devices as well as the new 56F8300 devices. It was
originally designed for the 56800s, but the similarities in the
JTAG/OnCE ports pretty much should make this usable with any of
Motorola's current offerings of DSP.

Has anyone successfully used the newmicro 14-pin JTAG -> parallel
wiggler with the Mot Suite56 debugger (ads) ?
