Hello and Introduction

Posted by Parth Vakil on Sep 14 2007

Hello all.

I would like to take this chance to talk a little about what I am going to try and do in this blog. While working in the field, I have come across some interesting techniques. It has, at times, taken some time and effort to understand these techniques. Ever since I was a kid, I have overestimated my capacity to remember everything that I learn. So, I had decided to start keeping a journal of all the techniques that started to make sense. This blog provides a great way for me to archive my understanding and thoughts as well as a means to share things with the community.

While the mathematical background is exteremely important, I will try and stay away from that and just point in the direction of the references I used to understand the material. What I would like to focus on is simply the technique. I would more like to talk about what variables affect the outcome in a particular technique, for example. I think some math will be inevitable, though.

I am also very much into Digital Recievers these days. So, I will start by talking about that first. I will post my first actual DSP related blog over the weekend.

I intend to blog every 2-2.5 weeks. I intend to have some MATLAB functions uploaded and also some FPGA code at times. This should be fun.

Have a nice day.

Parth
