EVRC/butterworth filter - Gerard Lyonnaz - 2004-10-12 03:02:00

Is there somewhere a free code of a EVRC coodec?
Or at least a sample of the first 6th order Butterworth filter?

 Gerard

The best place to look for an example implementation of most codecs
these days is the reference code published with the specs. However, I
don't think the EVRC specification or code if freely downloadable. If
you have the specification, I would have thought you would also have the
reference code.

Excuse me for asking, but why do you need help with probably the most
trivial problem in implementing a codec? Almost any IIR filter designer
should produce a usable Butterworth implementation for you, although
some produce a single stage and leave you to break it into bi-quads.

Regards,
Steve
