Hello all, Could anyone provide references (websites, books, articles) to Decision Feedback Equalizers for QAM/QPSK systems? Most of the information available is on baseband signals. I found several scientific articles in the WEB on this topics but they are very mathematical and complicated. I would like to first take a look on some introductory material... Looking forward to hearing from you, Hugo
Hi, I found Treichler,Fijalkow,&Johnson's article in IEEE Signal Processing Magazine May 1996 Issue, titled "Fractionally Spaced Equalizers: How long shoud they really be?" a really good starting point, not too technical with some practical remarks. It's focus isn't directly on the DFE, but gives a overall good review on equalization techniques in general. Other than that, most digicomm books covers this material. E.g. Proakis. hugo wrote: > Hello all, > > Could anyone provide references (websites, books, articles) to Decision > Feedback Equalizers for QAM/QPSK systems? Treichler should know - he co-invented the "Constant Modulus Algorithm" (CMA) for blind equalization back in the 80's. -- % Randy Yates % "Though you ride on the wheels of tomorrow, %% Fuquay-Varina, NC % you still wander the fields of your %%% 919-577-9882 % sorrow." %%%% <y...@ieee.org> % '21st Century Man', *Time*, ELO http://home.earthlink.net/~yatescr
