Hi All, I have just started working on TI DSP 2808 with Code composer software tools. How to know the amount of memory space my code is going to occupy (Code Size, Ram size etc..). I looked in the *.MAP file but could not find. Where to find this option in CCS to show the memory size, code is going to occupy. Thanks Harish Muniganti

I am working on a project porting a medium sized legacy project from a LF2407A to a 28335. In the legacy code, the software relies on the .bss section being initialized to zero before the C code runs. For whatever reason (maybe part of the original hardware design), the old software was able to run because it assumes external memory would be initialized before it ran. When I use the emu...

hi, i try to make a connection between dsp c28335 and msp430, i use simulink to do the i2c link, but the dsp is not responding to the msp430, i use the oscilloscope to see the data and clk lines, but the only thing i can see is the clock generate by the msp430 to send the slave address to dsp, but this is not responding. why???? i use the the pull up resistor in those lines, so this s not the pr...

I have a few questions about ADC time. 1. In the ADC reference guide (SPRU060D), it shows on page 1-7 that, in simultaneous mode, 4 ADC clock periods are required before the result data is available for C1. Since the ADC clock is 25MHz at most, does that mean the highest sampling rate is 25/4 = 6.25MHz? 2. Is it better to use bigger SH width? The bigger it is, the slower the smapling rate? ...

Hi, I have integrated sprc081 with my project and was able to get some results. The fft.mag gave 0 for all 64 points (I used 128 point real FFT). The document mentions that for fft.calc "The N1 scaling of FFT is distributed across the stages". Probably this might be the reason. So I scaled up my input with some trial and error to get the magnitude close enough with the one calculat...

Hi, I am trying to run an incremental encoder based motor from F2812 using PMSM3_4.(reference code). I am able to run the motor upto build level 3. But when I am trying to match the encoder angle against the ramp generated angle, its not matching. but i am moving the shaft by hand and reading the angle, then i get correct angle.that means whenever i am trying to read angle in 20KHz ISR for PWM gen...

Hi All, What should I do to configure the project build options in Code composer studio ver 3.3 to make it use non absolute file paths which enable the code composer studio to open and load the project on a different machine without browsing for the libraries, header files, and cmd files? In other words, I want to create a subfolder in the main project folder which contains all the cmd files lib...
