hi, there, I am trying to look for a good algorithm for matrix inversion on ADSP ts101s. It is better be the assembler language version. I have tried the C function matinvf() from Analog device library, It costs me 1.62ms for a 32*32 float matrix. This time is not I want. I hope the computation should be about 100 microseconds. Does anybody know if the C library on VisualDSP++ is optimi...

Hello! I've been working on an ADSP-21262 assembler and simulator, and I had a friend mention that I might run into legal troubles, given that my simulator (if it works) will compete (for a very limited definition of the word "compete") with Analog's VisualDSP++ toolchain. I searched the USPTO website and found that AD has a lot of patents on various bits of the SHARC technology. I'd like to ...

Hello, I am doing IDMA reading and writting on an ADSP-2189N, revision 3.2 When writting, which I use for boot up from a host PC via a microcontroller, everything goes fine, which I can verify by means of the 218x-EzICE. But when reading the contents of PM or DM I get strange results, spuriously. The data and code is all in overlay 0, I make sure to do so with an Overlay Latch cycle when...

Hi, I have some 24bit audio data (stored in an unsigned int). I have to sign extend it to 32 bit. From what I understand, I just look at bit 23 (counting from bit0) which is the sign-bit. If it is 1 then I place 1's in bit23 to bit31. If it is zero then I don't need to do anything. Now...is there a fast way of doing that on SHARC ADSP 21469 ? A built- in function or something? I hav...

We have to build a DSP platform for an automotive video application. The DSP will be the heart of a camera installed in the vehicle cockpit (a truck or a car) and the system will assist the driver: lane crossing and obstacle detection, road signs recognition... Good day, Hopefully some of you can give me some enlightment to figure out a solution on how to connect an 8bit-wide peripheral to an ADSP-21160. It's a rather asymmetric bidirectional connection, the "traffic" is higher from the DSP to the peripheral than from the peripheral to the DSP. Some of the features I want to use are: - Memory mapped peripheral. - Don't need to use the MS3...

The boss let me realize the JPEG2000 with ADSP-2191, but I think it is too hard. The obj file of JPEG2000 is about 100~200k bytes, but the PM of ADSP-2191 is only 32k bytes. So, I can't load the code in PM simultaneously. The only method is using overlays, but I don't know how much work it need. I think it will be better to change a more powerful DSP. If you once realized the JPEG2000 with ...

I have problems booting the ADSP 2191 from the UART (self made PCB). Initially I transmitt the 0Xaa byte the DPS needs for autobaud detection to the Rx pin. The chip immediately responds with x4b (ascii "K") which should have been "OK", but due to a chip error only the "K" is transmitted. This error is documented by ADI and should not affect the rest of the boot process. I continue with no...
