Hello, Could anyone advice me a DSP with i can compile (C would be REALLY preferable), assemble, and load program into DSP totally under Linux please ? I've saw package "open21xx" (for ADSP 21xx family), but this package can only load program into ADSP 2181, who is not enough powerful for me (my final goal is to decode/encode Ogg Vorbis and AAC file in real time). I've also saw ...

Hi I'm designing a mixer where 4 audio channels are digitized and mixed together in an ADSP 21065L. The human interface has got a lot of switches and potentiometer to control level, attacktimes ect. - Im using low cost AD converters (12Bit) with an SPI interface to digitize the potentiometer signals. - A LED driver chip is accessed by SPI as well - Some preamplifiers are daisy chained by...

Hello, all, I'm having a very strange occurrence with Analog Devices ADSP-21065L SHARC DSP: the data come out of the serial port with the MSB of each byte cleared, despite the fact that internally (and I checked this with the VisualDSP++ debugger) the data have it in both states - sometimes high, other times low. This happens only on a handful of boards, and I don't see any differences in t...

Hello, I'm using the AT49BV040B boot flash for the ADSP-TS201 and want to know what other boot flash people are using out there? As I understand the AT49BV040B is on most of ADI Eval Kits and this flash is obsolete. I'm trying to find a replacement for this boot flash and that will still work with the FLASH Programing tool within Visual DSP++. If anyone could send me the part number of...

Has anyone used one of the SPORTs on an ADSP-2185 as an SPI port? I am trying to interface with an SD card using SPI mode. Really I just need to read data from the SD card. I have all of the SD specs, but I am unsure about getting the SPORT to function as an SPI port. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Andrew Smith

Hi I'm having some issues with a SHARC ADSP 21369. I'm perfroming a number of FFTs on 8k sample blocks using the ADSP21369 EZKIT LITE and have encountered a show stopper. If I run the FFT using the SDRAM to store the buffers (too big for internal) then it takes 10 times as long. 2-3 times I would accept. I have timed reads and writes to the SDRAM and they are within 3 times the number of cy...

Hello, I have a ADSP-BF533 STAMP Board. At first I downloaded a compressed Kernel image to the board via HyperTeminal. Then I accidentally erased the flash bank 1. After that I copied a uClinux Kernel to address 0x20100000. I run the kernel (at U-BOOT > run linuxrun) and everything worked fine. After I diconnected the AC-Adapter and connected it again nothing worked. What is the problem? I

Hello, I have a setup where an ADSP-2188N is connected to an audio codec which acts as master (the codec), generating bclk0, tfs0, rfs0, and of course dr0. These signals seem to be ok with an o'scope. I configured SPORT0 as follows: - multichannel disabled. - tfs and rfs required. - tfs and rfs external. - 16 bit data. - external clock. - normal framing. - non-inverted framing. ...

Im using DSP for FFT IFT FIR PID applications for which according to my requirement I have zeroed down my list to these two DSPs. * TI-OMAPL138 (Dual Core ARM9+ C6748-DSP) * ADI - ADSP 21469 According to my understanding ADSP 21469 (450MHz) has Hardware accelerator support for FFT FIR IFFT applications which makes processor free for other operations (I guess that's what they mean). Three years ago I developed a very fast set of two-word floating-point assembler routines for the ADSP-2187, including a square root function and conversion to/from IEEE-754, callable from C. The code was used very successfully for a Kalman tracking implementation and ran over 10 times faster than the original code written entirely in C. It's now running on an ADSP-2191. I'm in the process...

Dear members, I am newbie and this mode is blurred for me. This issue is not clear explained in the book and I would like someone to point me references which explain this mode or e...
