Hi Everybody!!! Just got a new kit from Spectrum Digital with TMS320DM642 chip... model TMDSEVM642 with TVP Video Decoders... (EVMDM642 - 720 MHz version) and I have some doubts about plugging it into the PC... First: what exactly is JTAG? what is it for? what I understood is the following: I need a JTAG emulator to use the board with pc (like this one: http://emulators.spectrumdigital.com/...

However, despite understanding the basics, I'm not sure whether it is an appropriate board. I would greatly appeaciate any experience you all may have in this. I dont want to spend ages finding out Ive done something fundamentally difficul...

Hi, I work with an 24bit evaluation-adc-board from AKM. The board sends the data in 32bits to the DSP. I can choose whether I would justify the 24bits at the MSB or the LSB of the 32bit word which is send to the DSP. Now my question: what`s the difference and what makes more sense. The DSP can both formats. Markus

Hello! I'm starting with the programming of a TMS320F2812 on a exDSP F2812 board. There is a LED on this board, connected to the XF-pin of the DSP. The only thing I want to do is to say hello to the DSP-world and let the LED blink. But it doesn't work!! As I understood, I have to look at the GPFIO14 bit. But the GPIO-ports are multiplexed and I can't find out which setting is the one ...

Hi, I am working with an ADSP BF533 and am experiencing a ~1.6 ms delay from when the data (audio) arrives at the board to when the data is output from the board. Does anyone have any experience with this happening? Is there any way to reduce (or eliminate) this delay? I am just running the talkthrough example program when I have this delay occur (though it does happen with my other pro...

Hi Everyone I have two implementations of the F281x family, one is a 2811 on a board that we thought we'd laid out exactly according to TI's recommendations, the other a 2812 EzDSP board. On both of these we see a lot of dispersion (about 10 counts) when sampling a constant input signal. On the EzDSP the input is provided by a potential divider between the analog VDD supply the analogue gr...

I am designing a board with a TMS320F2811 chip, and have the schematic done. I was about to start the layout but I wanted to ask if it can work to make a double layered board (i saw a similar thread a while back, but it didn't seem to answer this directly). I am only going to be using the SCI pins and the analog inputs, so routing should be feasible. I was thinking about laying a ground pl...

The diag tool coming with the CC gives me a mem failure, also are applications not able to run when they need external RAM, so I guess there really is smth. wrong.
