Hello, I was reading about HSV model. H - hue it represents the frequency of the particular colour .s-saturation ,amount of gray or white mixed in the colour,v-value is for brightness ,more the value of v more bright it is. so what i understood from this was that a red colour and a blue colour will have different hue value. If i want to detect an edge i just have to check the hue value. ...

Hi, I am an undergrad in electrical engineering and have been doing research in the areas of Image and video processing. I am now required by the research team to test the algorithms I have developed on an FPGA, now I have not been involved with FPGA's apart from a course i did in the second year at university. I wanted some guidance in terms of which starter board would be the best suited ...

I'm a student doing a project involving real time video compression and wireless video transmission. Basically I want to take a digital video camera and compress the video in real time and transmit it to a PC wirelessly. I was looking into TI's DaVinci DSPs, in particular the TMDXEVM355 EVM (TMS320DM355 DSP) but I'm not sure if this would be suitable. Does anybody have any experience doing anythin...

Hi Euslei, I am also doing an image processing application on BF533 platform. I already have written OpenCV codes for this application, but how to transplant them to the DSP platform, that's a big problem to me. I googled, and find you have the same problem. Have you got any idea to solve it? Would you like to give me some light? Thank you very much. Best, Haifeng

Hello Friends, I am developing an application where I have to do Jpeg decompression. But I don't have enough RAM in my micro controller to store the jpg image. Neither the controller has EMI to interface SRAM. Can I decompress the jpg step wise. I meant MCU (Minimum Coded Unit) wise. For example I will not store the full image and then decompress rather I will store one MCU then d...

Hi all, Good day all. I am currently working on my final year project on optical music recognition which involves decoding a musical score into output of notes to be played in MIDI form. The first step I have researched towards decoding the image is to first remove the staves lines of a digital musical image. I used hough transform to det

Hi All, I have newly joined the group. I am working on a project which finds defect in a relay, we r taking images of the relay in all the directions. we have a source image , to which we have to match template image . we have used fft to find the correlation . Problem being faced : At different Illumination we are having different root mean square errors, we r doing a grey scale 8 b...
