Hi all, I need to ask anyone who used to do the near-far simulations under Gaussian noise for CDMA system. Based on my brief understanding, in near-far simulation, we need to calculate the performance (BER) of receivers with two interferers, which are one with equal to the desired user and another one with a power which varies from certain dB below the desired up to certain dB above the desired ...

I am reading a book (Digital Signal Processing Handbook chapter 17) and there are some examples that talk about AR(1) and MA(3) processes. How can I generate such processes in matlab?? The example I am reading says something like this: s1(n), s2(n) and v(n) are Gaussian zero-mean stationary and mutually uncorrelated. s1(n) is MA(3) with parameters [1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5] and variance alp...

Dera Sir, I am new to the area of statistics. I am trying to find the determinant of a 200*200 covariance matrix of a Gaussian distribution. Due to so many multiplications of fractional numbers it gives O as the result. Can anybody tell me how to solve this particular problem. Thanking you ROSHAN JOY MARTIS

Hello! I have to generate two random sequences of fixed length (k). One with a rice distribution and the other with nakagami distribution( with characteristic parameter m). I've found in literature that a rice distribution can be obtained as the square root of the sum of squares of 2 independent gaussian variate (one with non zero mean). So I suppose I can generate it in Matlab with ,for exampl...

Hi, I'm simulating various code rate LDPC codes in AWGN channel. I'm not sure how I should scale the gaussian r. v. for adding the noise when I include the rate R of the LDPC code. In theory, this should be the square root of the variance. As I have below, I'm dividing by 2*R. Is this right? Or should I be multiplying by R? sigma=sqrt((10.^(-SNRd
