Hi Guys I've written and tested my DSP assy code on the 56720 EVM Dev board. Does anyone have any pointer to documentation that will show me how to overwrite the PassThru code on the EEPROMS, with my own code, to make my Dev board run my program in stand alone mode? Thanks Pete J

Hi All I'm using Symphony Studio Eclipse 1.1.0 and having problems setting values (but only if they are below 255). It seems to left shift the value by two bytes. i.e. Fred equ $70 or move #$70,x1 when used, comes out as $700000 when read from the chips ram or chips registers. Even Fred equ $000070 comes out as $700000. Anything above $ff works as you would exp...

Hi Guys I've just purchased the DSPX72YDBZE and DSPAUDIOEVMMB1E. I've tried the Audio Pass Through Demo linking up as per DSP56720BUG.pdf I just get a distorted sound on the analogue output that is loosely based on the Analogue input signal. I can get a perfectly clean signal out if I change the OSC SEL links to EXT instead of INT and INT and add link AUX1 on JP11 (Which changes the S...

Hello, I have been trying to get the second stage SPI serial bootloader to work on the DSP56858EVM using the example from Precessor Expert. After much hair pulling it looks as if the second stage bootloader is loaded and runs but fails to load my application code. The SecondStageSPIBootLoader.pdf document says that the application code should be in s-record format at 0x1C00 in the flash. ...

Hi Christian, I have verified passthru_720_upt.cmd with 720passthru_FTF_20070619 package on 720A EVM board. It does has output even I send command stepwise in GDS cmd window. Please note for this version, jumpers of JP1 on the daughter board should be all closed. JP8: DEBUG Port closed JP4: all "4114" are closed, others open JP10: all closed Daughter card: JP15: two INT closed ? JP1...

Well, I recently bought a Symphony Soundbite Development kit (DSP56371), and downloaded the Symphony Studio Software to program it. So far I've found two example programs. One is an extremely simple program that demonstrates importing and building projects, which is extremely trivial. The other I downloaded from Freescale's website on the development kit, which is called Eight-channel-C-templat...

Hello, I'm using a Symphony Soundbite development board. (dsp56371) I'm using the assembly sourcecode, you can find on the Freescale website. I'm trying to make a simple Low Pass filter. (just 4th order; and only 1 left channel) But it is not working properly. I get a very thick sine wave at the output. There seems to be some kind of LP filtering; but not that correct, I think. ...

I keep getting this error in the debug mode of Symphony Studio, "source file not found." I read a tutorial that had a troubleshooting section that explains how to fix it. I followed their directions, which don't seem to make that much sense, and I've tried creating new path mappings and varied it countless times to no avail. There are two fields in the path mapping specification, "Compilati...

Hi, I have bought recently a Symphony Soundbite Development kit. It has onboard DSP56371, AK4584 as the I2S clock master and ADC/DACs AK4556. I need 192kHz sampling rate for the analog audio inputs. I have used Freescale's sample C-application that enables passthrough for all channels. It works fine at 48, 64, 96 kHz sampling frequencies. I have problems enabling 192kHz: I can see the input 1k...
