Hi, Some members have problems with erasing/programming boot flash of DSP56F807 The bug is, that Codewarrior does not erase the boot flash of DSP56F807 (adresses 0x0..0x3) However it programs the boot flash without erasing before, so bits can be set to 0 but not to 1

The Motorola ap note AN1933 references TMRC2_CTRL (in figure 5-5) bit 6 which it calls "Count repeatedly" and suggests setting it to 0 (in order to only count once). The data sheet for the 56F807 calls this bit "Count Once" and says that setting it to 0 will count

Our product is medium voltage (4160V) variable frequency drive. It consists of 9~24 power cells depending on the power level of the load. Each power cell has a control board with a DSP56F807 and an Altera EPLD on it. The DSP talks to the EPLD via SPI port and the EPLD talks to a master control board via a fiber optic cable. The drives that we have DSP watch-dogged is used in a coal po...

I guess Freescale provides the mechanical package dimensions, but not the recommended board dimensions. Does anyone know where to obtain a recommended pad dimensions for 160-pin LQFP? Also, please recommend me a reliable way to solder these cores without relying on places that charge for wave soldering. 1. solder paste with oven? 2. solder paste with heat gun? Thanks! Ko Ihara
