We have found that by using the flash_over_jtag.exe application from Motorola, the program downloads to our systems over the JTAG port take about 1/3 of the time when compared to the downloads from the CodeWarrior IDE. This is ***NOT*** a criticism of CodeWarrior, which (of course) is forc

I'm interested to know what the difference is as far as debugging features are between the DSP56F8xx Family's JTAG/OnCE and the MC68HC12, rather HCS12's BDM (Background Debug Module). We are thinking about the HCS12 or DSP56F8xx as a platform for many of our products and we will no longer

One of the great features of the DSP 568xx is that its JTAG has FIFO dump of the last 5 jumps (jsr, braches, etc), so it is easier in case of error to debug the sequence that lead to this error. However this can be done only when the debugger (CodeWarrior) is connected.
