Hello, I am implementing a voice conferencing program. I am using tms320vc5416 dsp.I have a distortion problem. I have A-law expanded(13 bit) pcm samples. These samples are stored as unsigned short in buffers. I convert this samples signed int and then I simply add these samples together. I abstract users own voice from the sum. At the and I scale the conclusion(shift right 2 bits). T...

I am working on a project of noise reduction for speech with Wiener Filtering. I am writing the code in Matlab. I have computed the PSD of noisy signal and noise (Considering that the noise is the first few samples prom the noisy signal) and the Wiener Filter transfer function. The Filter characteristic however turns out like an all-pass filter, so the filtered signal resembles teh noisy signal to...

Hi, I am also working on a Wiener Filtering project. I have also encountered a few difficulties. I have followed the suggestions from this thread as well. My Wiener Filter appears as an all-pass filter, so there is no diffrence between the noisy signel and my output prom the Wiener Filter. Could you please give me some suggestions? hi to all, =C2=20 I am currently working on G.723.1. I have ITU-T implementation of G.723.1. here G.723.1 encoder takes .tin as an input and gives .rco as an output. it= means that .rco is a bit stream file. but I cant read that file properly b= ecause bit stream file should contain only two values representing 0 and 1.= .but here, this file contains varying values. =C2=20 anyone knows h...

Hi All, Had a small doubt regarding the AMR codec. Why is the file size (file obtained at the output of an AMR-NB codec) constant for all AMR rates even though there is a different bit allocation for each 20 ms speech frame of the input file corresponding to each of these rates.(Besides the file size is also larger than that of the input file). Am still a novice as regards this codec and...

Hi This is vijaya bhaskar vasha ,i am doing my M.Tech project on secure speech communication on TMS320C6713 DSP microprocessor i.e. first i need to compress the speech signal and then encrypt it. compression algorithm i choose is CELP . But the problem is now that i am not getting the exact block diagram of the CELP. So if some has related material to this please send to me ...

I'm looking into a low bit-rate speech compression route that I can decompress using an ARM7 TDMI running at 33MHz. There will be no real- time encoding required, so coding time (as long as it's not months) is not important. Virtually ALL encoders are designed around bidirectional sound whereas this is purely for playback. If anyone has any clues, I would be most grateful. Oh, I'm a ...

hi, I am using AMR 4.75 and AMR 5.15 for Voip application over very small bandwidth line. I would like to identify low enery frame I order to Skip over them on transmition. I'am using black box encoder/decoder so I can't get to the raw voice. Is there any indication of frame enrgy? how, in general can energy be built? can I assume that the gain composed of the filter gain and the exc...
