hello, everyone I'm studying the IEEE article "LINE SPECTRUM PAIR (LSP) AND SPEECH DATA COMPRESSION" by author FRANK K. SOONG and BIING-H WANG JUANG.they proved that the LSP is practical.but I doubt about the theory. LPC inverse filter A(Z)=1+a1*Z^(-1)+a2*Z^(-2)+...+am*Z^(-m) P(z)=A(z)+A(Z^(-1))*Z^(-m-1) Q(z)=A(z)-A(Z^(-1))*Z^(-m-1) they proved that P(z) and Q(z) only have zeros on the uni...

Hello, In the Section 3.2.4 - Quantization of the LSP coefficients (Pg. 12) in ITU-T Recommendation G.729 documentation, we have to use two switched 4th order MA prediction filters to predict tha LSF coefficients. Can anyone please help me out as to which type of MA predictors

hi all, G.729 recommendation states:-to predict the values of LSF a 4th oreder MA is used. Two predictions are possible .the encoder chooses which one to use and indices it with a bit in the bit stream. after prediction ,prediction error is computed .this error is sent to decoder by vector quantizing it. my que is what are these two possible predictions ? what is MA prediction? can any...

Hi, I have downloaded c-code for the codec G.723.1 (fixed point). I don't absolutely succeed in finding in the code the variables related to the LSP parameters, gain, amplitude and pulse positions. I would like to write on file these values (fprint in the c-code). I have to con

I'm looking for a robust LP method in noisy environment (around 0dB), which method can get better LP coefficient in harsh noisy background. here is one method named "WLSP" proposed by Alku and Backstrom "All- pole modeling technique based on the Weighted sum of the LSP polynomials" in Proc. IEEE ICASSP'02 orlando, 2002. Have anyone test it?
