may be the range that you wanna compensate would be differ.. last time, i use some pll and agc algorithms time/ frequency offset compensation of ADC and mixer's time and frequency offset. they fluctuate within relatively small error.. thus need some simple algorithms... rather than higher order algorithms...

One difference is channel equalization usually accounts for and corrects dispersion and multipath distortion and frequency offset is just that. You figure out the freq error and mix it out. IHTH, Clay

   i am really confused of these two concept.
