Can any one help , how to use cacheTagRamViewer (in CCS v3.3.81.6)
connected to c6455 DSK board for on-chip cache analysis?

I am able to do the cache analysis via cacheTagRamViewer for c6455
Device Accurate Simulator. But when i try to view cache tag ram viewer
on DSK, it shows  'ram viewer does not support this board'. However
from the TI manual SPRU862A.pdf in section 3.5 "On-Chip Debug Support"
it has been given that we can analyse the cache status on the DSK in
CCS 3.3v and above.

I would like to add that the DSK is detected by CCS and i am able to
download the program and profile it for MIPS.


Steps to recreate the problem.


1) set up ccs for c6455 DSK board.

2) restart CCS.

3) Build and profile the code( see the MIPS in the output window).

4) Open CacheTagRamViewer by clicking Tools->CacheTagRamViewerControl-
>Cache TagRamViewer

5) The cacheTagRamViewer window displays the message 'ram viewer does
not support this board'.
