You said that you installed CCS, though you never mentioned running CCSsetup to add the GEL file corresponding to your board. CCS requires a configuration file specific to the board you are using. If you already did do this and properly tested the emulator (perhaps by using SDconfig), then perhaps you didn't choose the correct GEL file, or haven't installed the proper emulation drivers.

If you haven't already done so, I would recommend looking on the CD that came with your board for installation instructions and search for the most current emulation drivers before attempting to actually run CCS.

Hi everyone,
I am having a spectrum digital emulator board with TMS320c5416 dsp. I
bought that and i installed the CCS in my desktop. When I connect the
board
and start the CCS, the USB is enumerated but then a error window is
coming.
It is like this
title of the window: CPU_1- DSP DEVICE DRIVER.
CONTENT:
CAN'T INITIALIZE TARGET CPU
I/O PORT : 540
BOARD NAME: SDGO5416DSK (SPECTRUM DIGITAL)
CPU NAME: CPU_1

then four buttons to abort/retry/ignore/diagnostic are there. even if i
run diagnostic, the emulator diagnostic is failing.
Can anyone help me in this?
