Suggest to study the Texas Instruments DSK C5402 board. It boots from FLASH.
The
documentation includes schematic. Also, if you search this group you will see a
number of posts talking about FLASH boot and NV storage.

Dear group

I am doing a design with a C5402 DSP and flash memory module. Can someone give
me some pointers to the logic control interface to the flash memory. The
processor needs to boot from flash memory. SPRA585 recommends the use of the XF
pin on the DSP, but as the DSP starts up with the XF pin HIGH, this will not
work. Has anyone done a successful interface to flash memory with the ability
to boot from flash?
