Some clarification of the errata for the Motorola DSP56858 is presented below. The Section titled "Chip Revision B Errata Information" makes the following statement: The following errata items apply only to Revision A1 DSP56858 devices. These parts are either marked with date codes of 0236 or greater (bottom line of marking). In fact, the title is correct and the errata items do apply to Revision B of the devices. Furthermore, a more precise breakdown of the parts by date code follows: DATE CODE OF 858 REVISION LEVEL ----------------------------------- 0141-0214 A 0215-0232 A1 0233-0301 B The errata will be corrected in its next edition. |
