We are currently using an XDS510USB on a 5502 with "almost" no problem.
However, I had to go back to CCS 2.21 because apparently it didn't work
with CCS 3.1 on our PC.
Furthermore, I had to download updated drivers from spectrum digital
website, because with the ones included in the box, the USB enumeration
phase never ended.
Now the system seems stable enough.

Which one, XDS510 class, possibly cheap emulator for 5502 DSP would you
suggest?
I nearly decided to buy Spectrum Digital XDS510PP Plus for 1300$. But
after I downloaded the latest drivers from Spectrum Digital website, I
realised, that there is no specific 5502 *.ccs file to be imported into
Code Composer Studio. Can I still use this emulator for my design with
5502 processor? Their support didn't respond though they claim they will
respond within 4 working hours.
The other emulator I was considering is TDS510 USB2.0 emulator, the
price I found on TI website is 950$, and on TI website 5502 is
explicitly listed as supported processor (usually only family is listed,
e.g. C55x or something similar). Can someone confirm it? Maybe any other
suggestions?
