Hello All,
Sorry if this a repeat, I think I used the wrong email account when I
sent it before...

I looked to buy one, but although Motorola says it's $49.95 in their
advert BOTH their listed suppliers (Arrow & Digikey) are selling it
for ~$70!!!
Now $70 is still a good deal, but if Motorola is going to spend $$$$
advertising the demo board they should at least make the suppliers
honor the price.

About this discussion group:
You are correct; this demo kit will include free permanent license for
new CW 5.1 limited to memory of 56F801 and 56F802 devices (8K program
words). However, until September Motorola and Metrowerks also have a
promotional price for CW 5.1 for 56F803, 56F805, 56F807, 56F826, and
56F827 for $495 (regular price $1195). You can purchase it from
Metrowerks web site:

Be aware, I certain that the code size is limited to
8K. I have already placed an order for it through
Arrow Electronics.

There was a press release by Motorola announcing a 56F800DEMO board
that lists at $49 and includes a complementary copy of Metrowerks
CodeWarrior 5.1 for the memory footprint of the DSP56F801 and
DSP56F802. The board lists at $49. CodeWarrior license pricing has
been reduced as well until August 2003.
