It works fine for me, even a bit more robust against power-down of the
target system than the USB-ICE was.
Mechanically, tt is a PCB which may not fit directly into any target system.

Hi Vladimir,
I don't design with Blackfin but if i would I'd buy it because of its low
price. I often read a russian-language electronic designers forum
electronix.ru, which has a separate board related to DSP design issues, and
i haven't seen any complaints bout ICE 100B since it has been released
(November 2009), so I guess that it is quite good. Compared to the
high-performance emulator it has several drawbacks:
1. It is quite slow - 255 kBps in ICE100B vs 1.5 MBps in HPUSB emulator.
2. It doesn't support two useful tools - statistical profiling and BTC!!!
3. And it is supported starting with VDSP 5 update 7 only, so there is no
support in earlier software versions.
BTW, ADI has been offering development tools bundles at significantly
discounted price now:
