I am using the flashburn from SoftwareDesignsolution (http://www.softwaredesignsolutions.com). It works for me, not only for the C6455 DSK but also our own digital board with similar design.

The software supports DSK6713 16bit flash. If your own digital board is with similar design, I think this software should be working.

Good luck,

Renaissance

muhammad,

DO NOT send c6x related emails direct to me!!!

Spectrum digital has a downloadable utility for burning FLASH.

However, I think it also expects SDRAM in the expected locations for the
the 6713 DSP.

I do not know if the 6713 has the necessary built in ROM code to perform boot time flash loading.
if it does, then you could use that ROM.
However without any SDRAM, even that technique may not work.

BTW:
What DSP process does not need SDRAM?

muhammad,

Have you tried using your current Flash Programmer on the new board?

If the custom board has the same interface (?J-Tag?)
and if the custom board has the same flash, mapped to the same addresses, then the flash programmer 'should' work.
IF the flash is mapped to a different address range, then the program will need to be re-linked to the new address map.

if the custom board has a socket for the flash chip, then a tool such as the Data I/O can programing the flash chip.

Dear All,
I have been using Flash burn utility to program flash on
DSK6713. Now, I want to program Flash on a custom board. This board contains DSP TMS320C6713 and Flash AM29LV400 (same as on DSK6713). Can any one guide
me how to do this

Many Thanks,
Kind Regards
