The DSP internally operates at 100 MHz. Internally, it requires
a 2-phase clock, hence the operation of the PLL internally at
200 MHz. Operation without the PLL enabled results in the DSP
running at half the input clock frequency.

I would be surprised if you could get a 100 MHz part to operate
faster than about 125 at room temperature. With overclocking,
you will likely lose guaranteed operation at the temperature
extremes and possible operating voltage extremes as well.

The DSP56303 user's manual says that ...
"The DSP56303 offers 100 million instructions per second (MIPS)
performance using an internal 100 MHz"

However if you look at the datasheet (paragraph 2.6.3), the value
listed for maximum frequency of the VCO with PLL Enabled is of 200Mhz.

Is it possible to run the DSP56303 at 200Mhz ? or will the PLL start
acting crazy if the registers are programmed that way ?
