Guillaume,

It shouldn't take 25 cycles to execute a move like you describe. The
simulator is cycle accurate so there is something else going on there.
All the insturction timings are described in Appendix A of the 56300
Family Manual...

Hi,

I would like to use indirect addressing using the offset register on
the DSP56303 chipset.

However, the simulator tells me that such an instruction takes 25
clock cycles to execute ! I do not see any reason for it being this
high, so i was wondering if this might be a simulator issue....

Also, while we're on the subject of clock cycles, does Motorola have
a document listing the amount of clock cycles required by each
instruction depending on the addressing modes, etc ?

Thanks in advance,
Guillaume
