Answer to Arvind's question.

ITU-T G.726 (full duplex) takes 7.9 MCPS on Motorola Star*Core Processor which
has 4 ALU's. My strong feeling is that G.726 should take something aroung 7.5/8
MCPS on TMS320c62xx since it is having similar capabilities as of Star*Core. So
what ever you
are thinking as fully optimised code may not be really optimised for c62xx
processor. There are several techniques to utilise in multi MAC processors.
Think in multi MAC scenario and utilise all the software pipeline available in
c62xx. Wish you all the
