that's too bad. for all the effort of doing a division in the first
place, the extra cost of one or two more terms in the denominator
would sure make that arctan() work better. i guess i'll just have to
post it (but i gotta find it).

that's fine and good, Rick. we appreciate being appreciated. but you
shoulda included the arctan() with more terms in the denominator. it
would make it a lot better.

Hi Randy,
well, ... the plan (according to my publisher)
is for the 2nd edition to be printed in March
of this year.
The 2nd edition is a modest expansion of some
of the topics in the 1st edition, plus new material
on quadrature signals and sample rate conversion
(That phrase "sample rate conversion" is used
instead of "digital resampling" because of
you Randy.) The "Digital Signal Processing Tricks"
Chapter has been expanded from 12 topics to
33 topics, thanks to what you guys here have taught
me and other things I've encountered on the Internet
and in magazines.
The 2nd edition will have roughly 200 more pages
than the 1st edition.
