Hi Kris,
I was not able to consult with a sales rep on this so if you call and they
tell you differently please don't blame me. But to the best of my
knowledge
First off when you purchased matters. For this product version, if a new
version is released within 90 days of the purchase date, the customer is
entitled to receive the new product free of charge. This is a pretty strict
date but notice that it is from purchase and release, not from purchase
until you noticed it.
Now regarding pricing for updates and such, it all varies depending on if
you purchased a support package or not. The best thing if you have any
questions is just write directly to me or your sales rep. If you write to
me let me know your locality so I can get you to the correct sales rep for
your area.
I think this is very good news for you, I hope so anyway.

The two halves of a whole.
If you're not using CodeTEST, check it out! http://www.metrowerks.com/MW/Develop/default.htm
Does anyone know if there is any upgrade from Ver 5.1 to ver 6.0 and
how much would it cost ? I had version 5.1 of DSP56800 for less than 4
months .
Best Regards
Kris

It is up to 16KB or 8K Words. That is were the confusion is. We
will go ahead and update our information so that everything is
consistent. The information for the online store should be referring
to words not bytes.

The online store information looks like it is wrong:
It should be
* Up to 16 KB CW56XSE Complimentary
* Up to 64 KB CW568XC32K $495
* Up to 128 KB CW568XC64K $995
* Over 128 KB CW568X $1,495

There seems to be a discrepancy between Metrowerks press release and
what their website has listed as current pricing:
* Up to 16 KB CW56XSE Complimentary
* Up to 64 KB CW568XC32K $495
* Up to 128 KB CW568XC64K $995
* Over 128 KB CW568X $1,495
Online store (http://store.metrowerks.com/dr/v2/ec_MAIN.Entry16?SP024

* Up to 32 KB CW568XC32K $495
* Up to 64 KB CW568XC64K $995
* Over 64 KB CW568X $1,495
Does anyone know the correct pricing or am I misreading something?
Thanks
