Variable access:
You can assign a variable to a specific memory address like this:
UInt16 GPIOE_DR:0xff1;
This assigns the variable GPIOE_DR to the memory address 0xff1.
I don't clearly understand the second question. Variables are normally in the
Data Memory. Data that isn't changed often (like settings) or constanst can be
stored in the flash.
