Normally if I get a problem like that a comprehensive reset usually fixes it. Something like: exit CCS, shut down pc, unplug power to DSK, unplug power to emulator if you use one, apply power back to those two, hit the manual reset button on the DSK, powerup pc, reset the emulator, open CCS, run the GEL C5402_DSK_Init then try to load the program. That may be overkill, but if any reset will work, that one will. Another thing that happens is if you alter some of the CPLD control registers to enable the Flash memory or alter software wait-state registers and such, CCS may really have a problem reading or writing to an external memory address. By default, CCS tries to load your interrupt vector table into external SRAM so if the Flash is enabled it will not be able to do that and will give error messages. But, I doubt you are linking things like the .stack section into external memory so I don't know what the problem might be there. I can't imagine why it would have a problem verifying the dsp's internal memory.
