I believe that your test case [cnfdsp_nohost] loads into internal DSP RAM
and I am speculating that your DSP/BIOS code is loading into external
SDRAM. The problem could be EMIF initialization. When you run CCS
and use the 6711 DSK GEL file, the EMIF is being setup automagically for
you. Anytime the DSP is reset the EMIF will need to be
reinit'd.
One way to do it...
Define an EMIF section in your memory map [addresses are in the GEL file]
and create a separate c or asm file with '.word's [values are in the
GEL file] and and select the EMIF file to be linked first [or before any other
external memory files].
BTW, I believe that the DSK does not perform any verification after loading
- that's why "it just sits there".

i'm having some problems with tms320c6711 dsk. I want to
use the command line application dsk6xldr supplied with Code Composer
V2.10, so as to load an application on the dsk board without Code
Comopser IDE. If i try to load the cnfdsp_nohost application supplied
with the suite, there are no problems, the code is loaded and the
application run. If i try to load a my application developed with
Code Composer v2.1 with DSP/BIOS support, i don't receive any error but the application doesn't start. Obviously loading my
application inside Code Composer IDE all things goes well. There is
something that i forgot? _____________________________________ Note: If you do a simple "reply" with your email client, only the author of
