Guo,
I don't have your answer but here are a couple of clues that might
help.
1. I noticed that TI just released
TMS320C6000 DSP Multichannel Buffered Serial Port (McBSP)Reference Guide
SPRU580
2. The McBSP supposed uses CCITT G.711
compression/decompression [I am not familiar with it]

Hello.I have a question about c6711 McBsp A-law compression.
I want to know the compression algorithm of Tms320c6711 A-law. Does
the algorithm in Appendix A of the document spra634.pdf adopted? After
encoding, what kind of processing did the hardware perform? Bit-reversed or even-bit reversed or odd bit-reversed,or other way? I ask the question because when I use DSKC6711, the code I get after
A-law compression is not consistent with the document. Can any one
help me? Thank you.Guo
