EDMA chaining and linking are two very powerful features. Use EDMA chaining
to cause a "chain reaction" from a single event. For example, when a
single interrupt occurs, you may want to perform a DMA xfer one one channel from
an I/O device and chain that xfer to another channel that will copy a processed
buffer from internal memory to external memory.
Also, a note to all EDMA users. The DSP cache has no knowledge of
EDMA xfers - they can create cache coherency
problems!! The programmer must manage these [TI has at
least one app note on this].
