And feed the CODEC's clock signal with the DSP driven SCLK. For example, on the DSP side, configure Tx SCLK as output, and Rx SCLK input. Connect both the DSP Rx SCLK and the CODEC SCLK to the DSP Tx SCLK. -- Jaime Andrs Aranguren Cardona jaac@nospam.sanjaac.com SanJaaC Electronics Soluciones en DSP www.sanjaac.com (Remove "nospam" from e-mail address)

No! Assuming that the DSP is providing the CLK, you configure one clock as an output and the other as an input. Then you can connect them together. This is done all the time. -- Al Clark Danville Signal Processing, Inc. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Purveyors of Fine DSP Hardware and other Cool Stuff Available at http://www.danvillesignal.com

Hi all
I want of interface a Ti's stereo codec tlc320ad77 to Analog devices
hammerhead sharc DSP 211161N, it was a simple codec with a simple
serial interface, my problem is that the codec uses data in data out
with a common CLK signal but in dsp the sports don't support full
duplex connection i have to use a pair of sports to do the same, now
there is another problem i have to derive a common CLK signal because
the codec takes only one SCLK signal so i thought of using a or gate
with 2 inputs from the 2 sports CLK signal( and setting same clk rate
for the 2 sports) and connecting it to the codec CLK signal similarly
for LRCLK.

do this setup will work or it is better to give CLK and LRCLK from
one sport??
