I had a DSP56F807 which sometimes showed verify errors after programming,
but most times the verify after the programming was ok. I did not see that
programmed bits changed after some time, because I did not special tests for
that.

Onderwerp: [motoroladsp] losing flash memory in the DSP56F805FV80
It appears that in a few of our products we have had bits in the program
flash memory (DSP56F805) revert to their unprogrammed state after only a few
days. Has anyone else seen this?

It looks like that register only controls the erase times, but maybe
they're not being erased long enough before we program them. Do we need to
erase the chips before we program them? Can we assume when they are factory
fresh that they are fully erased?

Doug,
Check the flash clock divisor register. If the divisor is not set properly, then
you won't assert the programming voltage to the flash cells for long enough
and your product will lose its memory.
