Why don't you give us some more context? Like several sentences around the
usage of the unfamiliar terms.

But not with a hyphen: A-DSP.

Analog Devices DSP chips are named ADSPXXXXX. For example,
http://www.digchip.com/datasheets/parts/datasheet/041/ADSP2101.php

Hi there,
I'm reading a paper at the moment which refers to an "A-DSP", and also
refers to "analog-to-digital signal processing circuit". What exactly
is this? Is it simply a ADC or is it a ADC and DSP board in one? This
device intefaces to a PC via an IO-board and its not clear if signal
processing takes place on the A-DSP or the PC.
Can anyone enlighten me?
Regards,
Cathal.
